Faucets

Even a little leakage can add up to a big water bill...

Choosing to Replace or Install? Use these Tips!

If you’ll be keeping your current sink cabinet, choose a faucet type that matches the hole openings in the counter. Make sure the faucet’s size suits your sink size. If you have kids or elderly family members, choose a faucet easy to use, such as a single-handle, lever or hands-free model.

Consider style and finish. Ideally, your choice should coordinate with your other bathroom fixtures and surfaces. For a modern look, try polished nickel, matte black or the standard polished chrome. To create a vintage or rustic feel, copper, brass, and hammered nickel are good choices.

Look for faucets with the WaterSense label. These faucets use at least 30 percent less water than standard models, yet perform just as reliably.

One of the easiest ways to lower indoor water consumption is by using low-flow aerators on the faucets in the kitchen and bathrooms. These are widely available at home improvement centers and simply screw on to replace the existing aerators.
