What Is Trenchless Pipelining?

In the past, all sewer and water line repairs required labor-intensive trench digging. Plumbers would have to dig up gardens, driveways, sidewalks, and more to get to the sewer or water line. The repairs were costly, and sometimes, only a section of the pipe needed to be replaced.

Now, with modern technology, we can use cameras to identify the extent of the damage and the exact location. There are several different methods and products used in trenchless pipe repairs, but it mostly boils down to a similar process.

We get access to the pipe on both sides, clean the pipe, and then pull an epoxy-soaked liner through the pipe and cure it. This cured liner repairs any holes or damage to the pipe and acts as a pipe within a pipe.

By pulling this liner through, sometimes called slip lining, we can bring your pipe back up to full efficiency without digging a trench. It seals all the holes and cracks, and protects from future leaks or damage.

Trenchless Pipelining Process

We have the tools and experience to ensure your pipes last another 50 years. There are many steps to the pipelining process, and our installers can accomplish the job in about two and a half days on average. The first day is about half a day’s work, beginning with a video camera inspection to identify the issue and search for cracks, root intrusions, dips, or hard water mineral scale buildup.

After the camera inspection, we perform a hydro jetting service to clean out the pipe, clearing out roots and debris. Cleaning the old pipe allows the new liner to slip in easily and adhere properly.

We will complete installation the next day. We have a number of different methods for pushing, pulling, and maneuvering the liner into place. We must dig a small access hole to pull the liner through.

We then cure the liner to harden it. The hardened liner is strong and will resist root intrusions or other damage. The liner settles overnight, and the next day, we inspect the line again to ensure everything is clear and cured correctly.

"We scheduled an estimate AND a tune-up. We knew something was wrong with our furnace, but hoped we could make it through the rest of the season.
