  • Get organized – Make the most of the time you have the handyman in your house by being organized. Know what you want him to do, and have the right supplies and tools on hand, if needed. Organize your to-do list into groups, such as wall repairs, door repairs and window repairs, so they can be tackled in chunks.
  • Walk through the list before work begins – Before the handyman starts, walk through your home and describe the repairs and the desired outcome. This will ensure you’re both on the same page in terms of expectations, methods and desired outcomes.
