We love to give back to our community and we want your help. Apollo Home is donating a tankless hot water heater system with a retail value of up to $5,000 to a Greater Cincinnati area nonprofit organization.

Dedicated to Giving Back

Apollo Home believes in giving back to the community. Apollo has been in business since 1910 and is thankful for the continued business throughout the years. We are grateful for our ongoing Greater Cincinnati customers.

To thank the community, we are donating a tankless hot water heater, as well as parts and labor to install it, at a local Cincinnati nonprofit organization. The tankless hot water heater donation has up to a $5,000 retail value.

We’ve narrowed it down to two organizations we love. We want your vote to make the final decision who should be the recipient…

We want your help. We want your vote. Take a moment to read more about the two organizations, Ronald McDonald House Charities of Greater Cincinnati and Lighthouse Youth & Family Services. These are both quality organizations who provide a great service. We applaud them for their continued dedication to our community.

Ronald McDonald House Charities of Cincinnati

Cincinnati’s Ronald McDonald House keeps families close to each other and the medical care they need, when they need it most. We surround families with hope and support and bring joy and a sense of normalcy to children as they heal.

Our House cares for 78 families every night, including parents, children receiving outpatient treatment, siblings and other family members. By easing the financial and emotional burdens of caregivers and by taking care of important practical needs, our House allows parents to focus entirely on caring for their children. Outpatient children living at our House can enjoy activities, special events and making friends with other kids who have a mask, a feeding tube or a bald head just like them.

About Tankless Hot Water Heaters

  • Developed to reduce standby heat loss, they prevent running out of hot water.
  • They are available in electric and gas versions.
  • During operation, there is no heat loss for increased efficiency, which saves money.
  • They use about 22 percent less energy than their storage-type counterparts.
  • Tankless water heaters cost more initially, but have longer lifespans which result in longer payback. As an appliance, they won’t need to be replaced as often.
  • They are good for vacation or second homes with periodic use where standby losses from a traditional storage water heater cost more to operate.

For example, homes, businesses and nonprofit organizations who use 41 gallons or less of hot water daily, a tankless water heater can be 22 – 34 percent more energy efficient than conventional storage tank water heaters. They can be 8 – 14 percent more energy efficient for homes which use a lot of hot water — around 86 gallons per day. You can achieve even greater energy savings of 27 – 50 percent if you install a demand or tankless water heater at each hot water outlet.*

Most tankless water heaters have a life expectancy of more than 15 years. They also have easily-replaceable parts which extend their life by many more years. In contrast, storage water heaters last around 10 years.*
